The given poem is referred to 'the father'. This father is the God. Rabindranath Tagore, the poet, asks the god to bless his country India as a free, independent and fearless country. He wants a country where equality and unity exists and no one is inferior or superior. He wants a country where education is everybody's first right and people work hard to achieve perfection. He wants a country with truthful people who take action against the wrong.
