5

1/5 part of 10 litres=

1/5 × 10

10/5 = 2 litres

2 litres of water was used for cooking

8 litres of water is still remaining.

1/4 part of 8 litres =

1/4 × 8

8/4 = 2 litres

8-2= 6 litres

Therefore 6 litres of water is left.
