green revolution was a period when agriculture improved it's yielding due to more developed agronomy technology. it is conducted by father of green revolution Norman E. borlaug and indian geneticist m s swaninathan who is also consider as father of indian green revolution in early 1960s with the help of advanced irrigation techniques and use of fertilizer which not only made india self dependent for production of food but also help india to better its economic condition by exporting wheat. the scientist develop triple dwarf wheat variety resistant to rust and pest.
