Answer:

It is absolutely true in today's time of profound technological advancement, scars in the form of orthodox social evils are a shame to our global society. The world is advancing by leaps and bounds and people have been endeavoring to make life better and solve many new challenges such as pollution, new diseases, global warming, and overall improvement of life. In such a scenario, orthodox social evils are like scars on the progressive society.

Orthodox social evils such as dowry, child marriage, female foeticide, polygamy, and obsolete rituals damaging the environment have become redundant and they must be discarded wisely for the sake of current social and environmental needs. Any orthodox tradition that is harming the environment and is an impediment in the progress of a society should be discarded.

We need new outlook and progressive, open approach to life to build a new, happy, and healthy society.
