Today we have many ways to record the events in our lives, especially on the Internet. We blog, post messages, share photos, and upload videos. All of these records are primary sources. Now, think about your own life for a moment. What primary sources could you create that would give a historian insight into your life? Are there some that don’t require the Internet? Do you draw or paint? Do you keep a journal or a scrapbook? Have you saved any favorite toys from your childhood? Do you have a bicycle, a skateboard, or a backpack that is special to you?
Write down three to four items that you think may be good primary sources for information on your life. Choose different types of sources. In a few sentences, write about why each item is a good source.

Answer:
I’ve been making scrapbooks every year to record the important events in my life. These scrapbooks tell about the highlights of my life. My parents have videos of my early childhood. They also recorded some other events, like the first time I rode a bike, my first day at school, and my birthday parties. These videos show how I act with people around me and how I have grown. There are some photographs from school that show me participating in track events and soccer. And my school report cards can give some idea about what kind of student I am.
