answer:-Sue forgot her swollen head and blackened eyes and prepared a funny card. On the front it had caricatures of Mary and the narrator. She called them funny people who had made her laugh. There was a message also. It expressed her love, thanks and good wishes.The doctor told Sue that chances of Johnsy to live was like one in ten. She had made up her mind that she was not going to get well. He added that medicines will only work when the patient wishes to live.1. While Sue and Johnsy share a love of art and other things in the outside world, their personalities and reactions to the world around them differ.

2. These differences are seen mostly in the words and actions concerning Johnsy's illness.

3. Sue is positive and believes that Johnsy can get better while Johnsy is hopeless and believes she will die when the last leaf falls.

4. Sue is more despondent type and Johnsy on the other hand sue and Johnsy were very good friends and they shared a flat. When Johnsy fell ill, Sue took care of her. She even sold her paintings to earn money for Johnsy's treatment. However, Johnsy on the other hand appears to be depressed. she was self absorbed. she did not respond to Sue's care.
