When Tom comes to know that his Rabbits are dead, he was shocked. When le learnt that they were dead because of Maggie, he was very angry as he liked his Rabbits much and also the rabbits were too expensive. After this Maggie starts crying and goes to the attic, she thinks that Tom had unnecessarily harsh to her, but this thought will of course not arise in Tom's mind. His belief was also broken from Maggie as he left his rabbitsupon her thinking that she will take great care of the rabbits but all turned opposite.
