tomato soup is not stored in copper vessel

tomato contain mild acid which react with the copper very wired to health

It is because tomato contains "Oxalic acid".
This acid reacts with the copper metal and causes a reaction which disturbs the condition of the vessel...
Thus "No acid containing soup is stored in a metallic vessel" ..
