angle x = 110° because we have 5he measure of its corresponding angle and measure of corresponding angle is equal
angle z =70° because angle x & y are supplementary
angle y =70° because angle z& y are corresponding angle

HI there !!

Given ,

l || m
----------------------------------
we can find the angles one by one ,

we are given the angle of degree 110 , hence , we can find the angle that is near to it , as the angles together form a linear pair.
let the angle near 110° be  "x"

a + 110 = 180°
a = 180 - 110 = 70°

we have now got the value of a .
as we know that the lines l and m are parallel , so the alternate interior angles are equal.
here alternate interior angles are "a" and angle "z"

∠ a = ∠ z         [ alternate interior angles ]

∠z = 70°
===========================

also ,
on the line "m" .
angles x and z form a linear pair .
∠x + ∠z = 180
∠x + 70 = 180
∠x = 110°

===============================================

In the figure , we are given an angle of 40°,
we can find another angle , that is opposite to it [ vertically opposite angles ]
name that angle , "b"

∠b = 40°
, with the help of this , we can find an alternate interior angle , that comes near to the angle "y"

let the angle near to y be "r" .

∠r = 40° [ alternate interior angles ]

∠r + ∠y = 180°

40 + ∠y = 180°

∠y = 140°
