What is the action of Na₂CO₃ solution on litmus and , why?

It is slightly basic substance. It is soda ash. Hence it will change red litmus blue.

➡ Na2Co3 is soda ash which is basic in nature...

➡ While litmus paper is a natural indicator which shows red colour on adding basic solution to the blue litmus paper.....

➡ If the litmus paper is red then it will have no change as the solution is basic....
