Technology have some good benefit but not all of it are good. ... Technological devices should not replace books because technology devices can cause health problems, it also expensive, and books improve learning much more than technology. In fact using too much time on technology devices can cause health problems.
I wrote in favor.
From the day when humans have learnt to write and read, Books have become an important part in our lives. Thanks to these books, We have learnt about our past, Which were written by scholars of that time.
But as the technology developed, Books are eventually replaced by E-books. These books are available all over the internet. Even the printed books are now available as E-books. What you need is just an internet connection and you are ready to go. You don’t have to worry about going to a shop and buying it when you can get it in a single click! People have accepted the E format of books because of its benefits. Because these books are stored in our devices, No paper is used, Which results in the saving of trees. Which makes these E-books eco-friendly too. Apart from saving the trees, Not using paper can save a lot of money. Let me explain. Using E-books the printing cost, Shipping cost, Fuel are saved. It becomes easy to carry as you can store several of E-books in just one device! Then you can share the E-books from any corner of the world with some clicks. Whereas books do not have these facilities. One needs to spend their time and money in just preparing the paper and dispatching it. Unlike E-books, We can not share these books so easily. We either have to give it to someone or we have to waste our money and time to parcel it.
If we don’t want to buy the books but still want to read it, One can visit a library. The library owner also has to hire people to maintain the place, Pay the electricity bill, Preserve the books, Etc. But why visit and waste our valuable time in travelling, When we can get these books online!
In the situation of covid-19 like pandemic, These E-books have served their purpose. When no one was able to go out of their homes due to lockdown, The supply of books and other necessity were stopped. In that conditions, These E-books which were available online turned out to be a saviour for students and parents as it was instructed that no one was allowed to go outside of their homes and hence not able to purchase books. Even schools books were available online helping students and teachers.
