this lead to gradual weakning of his eyes and also it affects the studies a lot

He can lead to many problems. According to american survey watching t.v 3-4 hrs in a day leads shorten his/her life. In television today no more educational things are supposed to be seen only fake movies ,action etc that can lead to attract your attention and keep you in a dark knoledge. Blood circulation will be less. He can loose his concentration and become more fond of t.v. his eye sight can be weak. And many such problem can be observed in nervous system at a particular age. More interested in t.v will stop you to play sports that can lead a great problem. He cant be fit and fine. So he can be pshycologically, mentally, and physically weak.
