Swami Vivekananda was born on 12 January 1863 in Calcutta. His real name was Narendra Nath Dutt. His father’s name was Vishwanath Dutt and his mother’s name was Bhuvaneshwari. He took higher education abroad and grew up and established the Ramakrishna Mission through which he spread the propagation of Hinduism abroad.
