Father's age=(x-5) and son’s age=(y-5)

And, father's age was 4 times of son’s age

I. E. (x-5) = 4(y-5)…. (ii)

= >x-5 = 4y-20

=>4y-x=16

Adding (i) and (ii)

(y+x=60) +(4y-x=16)

=>5y=74

=>y=74/5

So, son’s present age is 14 years and after 5 years his age will be (14+6)=20years.
