Ghandi started civil disobedience moment with his famous Dandi March on 12th 1930 C.E.He walked about 375 km from sabarmathi ashram to Gujarat's Dandi....Many women took part in this march to break the law of Britishers and aimed at producing salt by own.large scale of participants tok in this agitation ..

During Gandhiji's salt march, thousands of women participated in marches, manufactured salt and picketed foreign cloth and liquor shops.In rural areas, women came from rich peasant households.
