Answer :

The cost of chair and table is 325 and 400

Step-by-step explanation :

Given that :

2x + 3y = 1850

y = x+75

To Find :

Price of the chair and the table.

Solution :

\bigstar\;\textbf{\underline{\underline{Consider as -}}}

The cost of chair and table as x & y.

So,

\tt \implies 2x+3y = 1850....Eq(1)\\ \\\implies Y = x+75......Eq(2)\\ \\\implies 2x+3 (x+75) = 1850\\ \\\implies 2x+225+3x = 1850\\ \\\implies 5x +225 = 1850\\ \\\implies x = 1850-225\\ \\\implies 5x = \dfrac{1625}{5}\\ \\\implies x = 325

\bigstar\;\textbf{\underline{\underline{The values of x in Eq(2)}}}\\ \\\implies \sf y = 325+75\\ \\\implies y= 400

The cost of chair and table is 325 and 400.

Answer:

Cost of one table is Rs. 400

& cost of one chair is Rs. 325 .

Explanation :-

Let the cost of 1 table is x.

∴ cost of 3 table is 3x.

Let the cost of 1 chair is y.

∴ cost of 2 chairs is 2y.

To find :-

Price of one table and chair.

According to the question,

Total cost of 3 tables and 2 chairs is 1850 .

___________________[Given]

∴ 3x + 2y = 1850 .........(I)

& x = 75 + y .........(II)

(Since in question it is given that cost of table is 75 more than chair )

Putting the value of x in eqn (I), we get

3(75 + y) + 2y = 1850

=> 225 + 3y + 2y = 1850

=> 5y = 1850 - 225

=> 5y = 1625

=> y = 325

Substituting the value of y in eqn (II),

x = 75 + 325

=> x = 400

∴ Cost of one table is Rs. 400

& cost of one chair is Rs. 325 .
