region refers to lyman series ..according to question, transition is from 5th excited state to 1st excited state.. that means, from n=6 to n=2 . but, the transition from n=6 to n=2 is not possible for lyman series(possible for balmer series) (coz, transition in lyman series is from infinity to n=1 only)..so, the no. of spectral lines in uv region(lyman series) is 0.
