let the no of rabbits be x
no of peacocks be y
x+y=18
2(x+y)=36
2x+2y=36 ----- 1
no of legs of rabbit be 4x
no of legs of peacocks be 2y
4x+2y=52 ----- 2
2-1
2x=16
x=8
y=18-8=10
therefore
there are 2 more peacocks than that of rabbits
