total number of squares are arranged to form a rectangle 12 CM by 5 cm if we want to have a rectangle of 10cm length what will be its breadth

Vol. of rect. = (12 × 5)cm2
. =60 cm2

Vol. of new rect. = l× b
60 cm2 = 10 cm2 × b
b = 6 cm

AREA OF RECTANGLE = x × y
= length × breadth
here ,
length = 12
and breadth = 5
therefore area = 12×5 = 60
so , if length = 10 then,.
let breadth be x
10 × x = 60
x =
 \frac{60}{10}
x = 6
THERE fore breadth = 6
