Tourism in India has grown substantially over last three decades because -

  • Globalisation and the establishment of the globalisation in the India in the past few decades, had enabled the path of development of international tourism in the India.
  • Infrastructure and facilities development in the India had significantly increased in the past few decades. This helped to enrich the tourism industry, as the tourist always prefer a tourist spot with good facilities.
  • The India had it's own diverse culture and heritage since many millenniums. But, in the last few decades, the revolution of the Internet communication, had helped to advertise the greatness of India as a tourist spot to the worldwide audience.
  • The government had learnt that the tourism industry had great scopes. That's why, the government efforts had increased to develop the tourism industry in the past few decades.
  • Other reasons like the recent INR price fall are also major factors. To the foreigners the costing of Indian trip is much more less due to cheap value of INR. Although, the national tourism of India is also cheap and affordable.
