1. You meet her everyday. then  relax and let the things happen. Do not disturb her. It is the American culture or you can say their thinking. Do not meet unnecessary and talk when required. Just be busy in your life.
2. American people usually mind their own business. They are not like shy. If that place is highly new. Then just help her when it is required to help. Do not help unnecessary or she may scold you.
3. Try to talk with eyes. If you are able to do that then you can have a general talk. If she sees in your eyes, then it is a positive sign. She will not blame you in future. And remember, a girl notices everything happening around her.
