The Anglo-Mysore War
In the first Anglo-Mysore War, the Mysore Kingdom won easily due a humongous army. The true reason why the British were attacking the Mysore Kingdom was because their king, Tipu Sultan, had a French friend. The war strategies and techniques of Indian monarchs was very poor. The Indians lost all wars. But, with the French friend, Tipu Sultan was learning the latest and most efficient war techniques. The British wanted to stay above the Indians, and always dominate above other kingdoms.
Result- Mysore won
The Second Anglo-Mysore War
The British brought a lot of army in order to win the second war. Reinforcements from Madurai, and other cities joined in the war against Mysore.
Result- British won.
The Third Anglo-Mysore War
Tipu Sultan was desperate to win his kingdom back, and thus revolted with the loyal army left. Tipu Sultan lost again, and the treaty of Salbai was signed, and his sons were taken as Hostages.
Result- British won.
The Fourth and the Final Anglo-Mysore War
Tipu Sultan wanted to take his offsprings back forcefully. He was in no shape to fill the requirements of the Treaty (of Salbai). He lost again to the British, and was killed in the war.
Result- British won, Tipu Sultan was assassinated.
