the great grandson of Tamerlane and Genghis Khan, was the first Mughal emperor in India. He confronted and defeated Lodhi in 1526 at the first battle of Panipat, and so came to establish the Mughal Empire in India. Babar ruled until 1530, and was succeeded by his son Humayun.

Babur was the first emperor of Mughal empire .Babur wanted to for an empire in India .He was invited by Daulat Khan Lodi a rebel of the lodhi dynasty to overthrow the king Ibrahim Lodi in 1524.Daulat Khan thought Babur would just overthrow Ibrahim and return back but Babur defeated Ibrahim Lodi in the first battle of panipat in 1526 and formed Mughal Empire.
