In the northern hemisphere, the Trade winds blow from the northeast to southwest, back toward the equator. They are warm winds which blow steadily, continuously.
It is deflected more to the west due to the Coriolis Effect. According to the Coriolis Effect, winds, storms and hurricanes swirl counter-clockwise in northern hemisphere and go clockwise in the southern hemisphere.
