Traditionally, metal objects were sold by weight and
the cost of workmanship was not taken into
consideration for deciding the price. In the West the
cost of workmanship is often greater than the value of
the material. In your opinion how should the price of
an object be determined? Give reasons to support your
argument.

Earlier, the system used to evaluate the workmanship and pay it off was 'Bartar System'. In bartar system, the goods were exchanged either for services provided by man or for exchange of goods itself. So, the most valuable goods were given for the complex and satisfying workmanship. Most precious goods were considered to be food items as they were means of life, then comes household items. Likewise price of goods can be determined.
