Train A 120m long is moving with 20m/s. Train B is moving with 30m/s in opposite direction. In what time train B will cross train A?

Given,

SA=120m

SB=130m

vA=20m/s

vB=30m/s

The velocity of approach, v=vA+vB

v=20+30=50m/s

The train A has to cover the distance, S=SA+SB

S=120+130=250m

Time, t=vS=50250
