There are 3 types of sentences.
- Simple sentence

Simple sentence:- A simple sentence is such a sentence which has a subject & s verb means just one clause.
Example:-
- Being honest,he doesn't harm others.
- She helped the helpless.
Complex sentence:- A complex sentence is such a sentence which has 1 principal clause, 1 sub-ordinating clause & 1 sub-ordinating conjunction.
Example:-
- If he tried,he could win.
- He is a boy who is very brilliant.
Compound sentence:- A compound sentence is such a sentence which has 2 principal clauses & 1 co-ordinating conjunction.
Example:-
- He tried but he couldn't win.
- He is a bad and a naughty boy.
Solution:-
1.Go fast otherwise you will miss the train.(Compound)
→ Simple:- Go fast to catch the train.
2. On seeing the thief,the boy cried in fear.(Simple)
→ Complex:- When the boy saw the thief,he cried in fear.
3. Kumar is very poor but he helps many persons.(Compound)
→ Simple:- Despite being poor,Kumar helps many persons.
