BC square=10^{2}-6^{2}

=64

BC=\sqrt{64}

BC=8

Area of triangle ABC=1/2\times BC\times AD

=1/2\times 8\times 6

=24 centimeter square

BD is the median which divides the triangle into two equal parts

so area of triangle CBD=area of triangle ABC/2

=24/2

=12 centimeter square

In triangle CBD   E is the mid point of side BD

so area of triangle BEC=area of triangle CBD/2

=12/2

=6 centimeter square
