Answer :

We have isosceles triangle ABC where ∠ B = 90° , So we get Hypotenuse = AC ( Longest side )

So,

AB = BC ( As triangle is isosceles ) ----- ( 1 )

Now we apply Pythagoras theorem in ABC and get

AC2 = AB2 + BC2 , Substitute value from equation 1 and get

AC2 = BC2 + BC2

AC2 = 2 AB2 ( Hence proved )
