Answer : -

Given that,

∠ABC = 90°

ACDE and BCFG are squares.

To prove : -

(i) △BCD ≅ △ACG

(ii) AG = BD

Proof : -

(i) In △BCD and △ACG,

BC = CG (same side of the square)

∠ACG = ∠BCD [°.° ∠BCG = ∠ACD = 90° (given) .°. ∠BCG + ∠BCA = ∠ACD + ∠ACB (If equals are added to equals then the sum is equal.)]

AC = CD (same side of the triangle)

.°. △BCD ≅ △ACG

Hence, proved.

(ii) AG = BD (By C.P.C.T)
