Δ ABC is right angle

So, AB = 5 cm : AC = 12 cm

So formula to be implemented for right angle triangle

=> 1/2 bh ( base x height)

=> So considering 5 as base and 12 as height

=> 1/2 x 5 x 12

=> 1/2 x 60

=> 60/2

=> 30 cm^2

So area of triangle = 30 cm^2

So as we know that parallelogram = base x height

Similarly if we multiply base x height = we get 60 ( 5 x 12 )

So now considering AC as base and AD as height

we can get our answer by dividing 60 by 13

60/13 or 4.615

hope it helps
