OE bisects AP, this means that OE is perpendicular to AP because perpendicular from centre bisects the chord in a circle which means AngleOEA = 90°

BC is tangent to the circle so AngleABC = 90°

So in ∆ABC and ∆AEO

Angle OEA = Angle ABC = 90°

Angle A = Angle A {common}

Hence both triangles are similar
