Last holiday my family and I had what I can call: “A Trip to Remember” the kind of those that can’t be repeated. It all started in late October when all of a sudden my dad told us: “Let’s go to Europe!” It was going to be our very first visit to that continent. We had a lot to prepare, like getting our European visa and buying a bunch of clothes items for the cold, including coats, thermal clothing, boots, and scarves and European electrical adapters, etc. My sister and I started making the itinerary and decided what we were going to do each day.
It was Christmas Day; we took a cab around 6 p.m. which got us to the airport. We took the plane at 8:30 p.m. and landed in Madrid, Spain at 10 a.m. At that moment, the adventure was about to begin. Finally, we went back to the hotel to take our bags and take a cab to the airport. We took the plane and landed in Nantes, a little town in France. We got there late at night, so we rented a car and went straight to the hotel. We booked two rooms, one for my parents and the other one for my two sisters and me. My sisters were already on their pajamas and I was the last one on getting a shower, but before I did it I wanted to charge my phone. The plug had my sister’s phone and computer charging already and when I plugged mine, the lights went out, but not just in my room, it was in the hotel’s entire floor. My dad knocked my room’s door because he had a feeling that it was our fault. We ran out for help and after that, one of the staff members told us it was because of a voltage spike caused by the three European electrical adapters we connected at the same time.
