Trisomy is a genetic disorders in which a person has three copies of a chromosome instead of two and monosomy is the condition of having a diploid chromosome complement in which one chromosome lacks it's homologous partner.

Trisomy is also called as Down syndrome ( 46+1 Trisomy in the 21st chromosome ) . It is a chromosomal abnormality . This disorder is characterised by 47 chromosome. Infants with disorder have extra chromosome in 21 st pair . The children suffering from this syndrome are usually mentally restarted have short life span .They have short height ,short wide neck, flat nose, short fingers, scanty hair, horizontal crease on palm ,and a life of 16-20 years only

Monosomy is also called as Turner syndrome (monosomy of X chromosome ).It is a sexual abnormality. Turner syndrome is (44+X)arises due to inheritance of the gender related part of X chromosomes. Instead of normal conditions of male 44+XX condition. In women it is 44+X condition. The women's are sterile. Such children are unable to have children in future because of improper growth of reproductive organs
