by using the formula:-
v=u+at
substituting the values in formula
4=6+(-a)5.....'-a' because the there is retardation
5a=6-4
5a=2
a=2/5
a=0.4m/s^2
by finding acceleration we can find force by using the formula
force=mass× acceleration
force=10×0.4
force=4Newton
therefore force applied by the brakes is 4N
