Twelve spheres of the same size are made by melting a solid metallic cylinder of base d 2cm and height 16 cm . The d of each sphere is ?

laharipragna: u mean d=2cm
Qarwamarwa123: How
laharipragna: base d 2cm
laharipragna: what is d?
laharipragna: we know that volume of a sphere = 4/3πr^3

4/3πr^3=4/3π
r^3=1
diameter of the sphere=2*1=2cm.
laharipragna: i corrected it

cylinder measurements:-

d=2cm
r=1cm
h=16cm
volume of the cylinder = πr^2h
                                    = 16π

volume of a sphere =16π/12=4/3π

we know that volume of a sphere = 4/3πr^3

4/3π=4/3πr^3
r^3=1
r    =1

d=2*1
d=2cm

hope this helps u

laharipragna: sorry my answer is wrong
laharipragna: i made a mistake
laharipragna: i corrected it
sweety105: Nice ans dear keep it up
laharipragna: how?
laharipragna: we know that volume of a sphere = 4/3πr^3

4/3πr^3=4/3π
r^3=1

r=cube root of 1/3
d=2r
=2*cube root of 1/3

The d of each sphere is 2*cube root of 1/3.
laharipragna: we know that volume of a sphere = 4/3πr^3

4/3πr^3=4/3π
r^3=1
diameter of the sphere=2*1=2cm
laharipragna: how to edit my answer?

Volume of the cylinder = π r² h = π (2/2)² 16 cm³ = 16 π cm³

Volume of each sphere = 16 π /12 = 4π/3 cm³

Radius of each sphere = R cm
        4π/3 * R³ = 4π/3  cm³
        R = 1 cm
        Diameter = 2  cm
