Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Remaining Work =1-1/4=3/4

Remaining tym =3/4-1/3=5/12

(20*1/3)/(1/4) =(X*5/12)/3/4)

X=48

Extra=(48-20)=28 men

• Given:- Twenty men were employed to do some work in a certain time . But one - third of the scheduled time was over , it was found that only one -quarter of the total work was completed

• To find:- How many more men should now be employed to complete the work in three-fouths of the origionally scheduled time

• Solution:- According to the question, if the total work is 1, then remaining work = (1-1/4) = 3/4 and as one - third of the scheduled time was over,

so, remaining time is = 3/4 - 1/4 = 5/12

So, If the total numbers of men is Z

then ,we can write,

20×1/3×1/4 = Z×5/12×3/4

so, Z= 48

So,(48-20=28) more men should now be employed to complete the work in three-fouths of the origionally scheduled time.
