Solution:

According to the question,

⇒  $(x+20)=6(x-20)$

⇒  $x+20=6x-120$

On subtracting "6x" from both sides, we get

⇒  $x+20-6x=6x-120-6x$

⇒         $20-5x=-120$

On subtracting "20" from both sides, we get

⇒  $20-5x-20=-120-20$

⇒               $-5x=-140$

⇒                   $x=\frac{-140}{-5}$

⇒                    $x=28$

Thus the present age of Sreedhar is "28 years".
