According to question
2x = y - 30° ......(1)
using linear pair axiom
x + y = 180°
x + 2x + 30 = 180 [ from equation (1)]
3x = 180 - 30 = 150°
x = 150/3 = 50°
on putting the value of x in equation (1) we get
2x = y - 30
2 × 50 + 30 = y
100 + 30 = y = 130
Ans. x = 50° and y = 130°
