Correct Question :-

The measures of the two acute angles in a right triangle are in the ratio 7:3. Find the measures of the two angles.

Answer :

Two two angles are 63° and 27° .

Given :

The ratio of the two acute angles is 7:3.

Have to Find :

What are the measures of the two angles.

Calculations :-

First consider the measure of the two angles as 7x and 3x.

Now ,

Just simply applying the angle sum property of right angle triangle

Sum of all angles = 180°

↠ 7x + 3x + 90° = 180

↠10x + 90 = 180

↠ 10x = 180 - 90

↠ 10x = 90

↠ x = 90/10

↠ x = 9/1

\large{\boxed{\bold{x\:=\:9}}}

Hence , Now substituting the values :-

  • Angle 1 = 7x

= 7 × 9

= 63°

  • Angle 2 = 3x

= 3 × 9

= 27 °
