Answer:

LET TAKE TWO NUMBERS IN RATIO =2X AND 4X

SUM OF ALL SIDES OF PARALLELOGRAM IS 180

2X+4X=180

6X=180

X=180÷6=30

X=30

2X=60

4X=120

Measures of angles of parallelogram are 60° , 120° , 60° , 120° if two adjacent angle in a parallelogram are in the ratio 2:4.

Given:

  • Two adjacent angle in a parallelogram are in the ratio 2:4

To Find:

  • The Measures of the angles

Solution:

  • Parallelogram has opposite sides Equal and parallel
  • Measures of Opposite angles are Equal
  • Adjacent angles are supplementary
  • Supplementary angles adds up to 180°

Step 1:

Assume that Adjacent angles are 2x and 4x

Step 2:

Add the angles and Equate with 180° to solve for x

2x + 4x = 180°

=> 6x  = 180°

=> x = 30°

Step 3:

Substitute x = 30° and calculate value of the angles

2x  = 2 (30° ) = 60°

4x = 4(30°) = 120°

As opposite angles are equal hence remaining two angles are also of measure 60°  and 120°

Measures of angles of parallelogram are 60° , 120° , 60° , 120° if two adjacent angle in a parallelogram are in the ratio 2:4.
