sum of all angles of a triangle is 180
let third angle is X
so 180=(70+20+X)
180=90+X
so X=180-90=90 degrees
it is a right angled triangle because when a triangle contains one 90 degree angle then it is a right angled triangle.

Question: Two angles of a triangle are 70 degree and 20 degree, find the third angle and tell what kind if triangle is it?

------------------------

\mathsf{ANSWER}

Given :  ∠A = 70°, ∠B = ? , ∠C = 20°

To find : ∠B

Solution :

∠A + ∠B + ∠C = 180° [A.S.P]

70° + ∠B + 20° = 180°

∠B + 90° = 180°

∠B = 180° - 90°

∠B = 90°

Therefore, the triangle is a Right Angled Triangle.

Points about Right Angled Triangles

$ A right angled triangle is a triangle, that has one of it's angle as 90°

$ In figures, it is denoted by a small square.

$ The side opposite to the right angle is called the Hypotenuse.

$ In a right angled triangle, the sum of the other angles is 90.

$ The different types of Right angled triangles are, Isoceles Right Triangle and Scalene Right angle triangle.
