According to the Angle sum Property of triangle, sum of all the angles is 180°.

⇒ 40° + 35° + y = 180°

⇒ 75° + y = 180°

⇒ y = 180° - 75°

⇒ y = 105°

Third angle = 105°

Therefore, the third angle is 105°.
