Clearly if the two angles are making linear pairs;
then their sum must be = 180
So let the first angle be = y°
& the second angle be = z°
y° + z° = 180°
z° = 180° - y° .............(i)eq
& if one is 1/3 of other means =
y° = 1/3 z°
z° = 3 × y°.............(ii)eq
from eq (i) and (ii)
3 × y° = 180° - y°
3 y° + y° = 180°
4y° = 180°
y° = 45°
now putting the value of y° in eq (ii)
z° = 3 × 45°
z° = 135°
;) hope it will help

Heya ✋
Let see your answer !!!!!
Let the one angle be x°. Then,
the other angle = (x/3)°.
according to question ,
x + x/3 = 180
=> 3x + x/3 = 180
=> 4x/3 = 180
=> x = 180 × 3/4
=> x = 135
Hence , one angle = 135°
and the other angle = (135/3)° = 45°.
Thanks :)))))
