Answer:

5

Step-by-step explanation:

let first terms of the two AP's be 'A' and 'a'  [ A > a]

let common difference of the two AP's be 'd'

10th term of 1st AP = A + (n - 1 ) d , where n is 10 [ NUMBER OF TERMS]

= A + (10 - 1 )d

= A + 9d                 ....................equation 1

10th term of 2nd AP = a + (n-1)d , where n is 10 { NUMBER OF TERMS}

= a + ( 10 - 1 )d

= a + 9d            ....................equation 2

difference between 10th terms = ( A + 9d ) - ( a + 9d )

= A + 9d - a - 9d

= A - a

we know that 'A' and 'a' are the first terms of the two AP's

first terms of the two AP's are 8 and 3

so difference between 10th terms = 8 - 3 = 5
