Let the cost of mango be y
And apple be x
2x+3y=86
4x+y=112

4x+6y=172
-4x-y=-112
----------------
0+5y=60
y=12,
2x+36=86
x=50/2=25

solution:-

let, apple be x and mango be y

so,now {by question}

=> 2x + 3y = 86 ....... ( 1 )

=> 4x + 1y = 112 ...... ( 2 )

To find cost an apple

Multiply eq. ( 1 ) by 2

=> 4x + 6y = 172 ..... ( 3 )

Multiply eq. ( 2 ) by 3

=> 12x + 3y = 336 ...... ( 4 )

Now,

Substract eq. ( 3 ) from eq. ( 2 )

4x + 1y = 112

- ( 4x + 6y = 172 )

______________

- 5y = - 60

5y = 60

y = 60/5

y = 12

Now,

subtract eq. ( 4 ) from eq. ( 1 )

2x + 3y = 86

- (12x + 3y = 336 )

________________

- 10x = - 250

10x = 250

x = 250/10

x = 25

Hence cost of one, aaple and mango are Rs. 25 and Rs. 12 respectively.

i hope it helps you.
