Two balls A and B of masses ‘m’ and ‘2m’ are in motion with velocities 2v and 1v respectively.
Compare:
i) their inertia
ii) their momentum.

The inertia of A is more than B,

and the momentum is equal for both the bodies.

a) Inertia is dependent upon mass.

More mass  =  more inertia.

Body B has more mass therefore more inertia.

b) Momentum = mass*velocity

  p = mv

body1 = m*2v = 2mv

body2 = 2m*v = 2mv

Thus the momentum is equal.
