Given :  Two balls are selected at random with replacement from a bag containing 3 red, 3 black and 2 green balls.

To Find : the possible outcomes are:

Solution:

3 Red Ball

3 Black Ball

2 Green Ball

Total Balls = 3 + 3 + 2 = 8

if Balls are not identical

1st ball can be selected in 8 ways

2nd ball is selected after replacement

hence 2nd ball can be selected in 8 ways  

Total ways = 8 * 8  = 64

if Balls are identical

1st ball can be selected in 3 ways  ( Red , Black or Blue)

2nd ball is selected after replacement

hence 2nd ball can be selected in 3 ways  

Total ways = 3 * 3 = 9
