Greetings,
The answer to your question is typed below↓
_________________________________________________

Given:

Mass of the first ball               [m1] =    1.5 kg
Mass of second ball                [m2] =       1 kg
initial velocity of first ball       [u1]  =   10 m/s
initial velocity of second ball [u2]  =     5 m/s

Formula:

Common velocity [V com.] = (m1.u1 + m2.u2)
÷ (m1 + m2)
_________________________________________________

Substituting in the formula we get:

V com.=
(1.5 x 10 + 1 x 5) / 2.5
⇒ 200/25
⇒ 8
∴ The velocity of the combination = 8 m/s [Ans.]
