Given :

mass of each ball=50g=50/1000=0.05kg
initial velocity=16m/s

Iniial momentum=P1=mxu
=16x0.05
=0.8kgm/s

After collision, the direction of velocity of each ball is reversed on rebounding.

Final momentum=P2
=m(-v)
=0.05x(-16)
= -0.8kgm/s

Impulse imparted= Change in momentum of each ball

= -0.8-(0.8)

= -0.16kgm/s

∴Impulse imparted due to one ball after collision on another would be -0.16kgm/s

Given : Mass = 50 gram = 0.05 kg

V = -16m/s

U = 16 m/s

Now …

Impulse = M ( v-u )

I = 0.05 ( -16-16 )

I = 0.05( - 32)

Therefore ; Impulse = - 1.6kgm/s
